It's quite popular there and the items you are selling will be noticed more. In the meantime you could use your shop as a source to sell your items whilst you wait for a plot.
My main advice to everyone is that if you choose to get a plot in any rental market, make sure the owner is a long time trusted player with a good reputation. Also, the longer the shop has been open, the better. We have had quite a few rental shops set up and used to scam. Another thing to watch for is who else is renting in that shop. Some of the scammers have set up with their alts as plot owners to make it appear as though it is a busy, trusted shop. If you don't recognize names or the plot owners are known trouble makers you might choose a different rental shop.
