Does bigger realm = more lag?

Just wondering if a larger realm would be laggier than a smaller realm.

  • It depends on what’s in it. A small room with a bunch of cannons could be a lot more laggy than a huge realm that’s just someone’s build, no moving parts or anything special. It really depends on what’s in it. But, usually, large realms *can* be more laggy, simply because there’s more space to put laggy things, but they don’t have to be.
This is from me playing on a laptop that’s not too terrible, so I don’t know if other people usually laggy on larger rooms/realms, it’s just my experience. Hope it helps though.
  • size doesn't matter, ask @MEEPYZ he's an expert

The realm lag isn't determined by sizes, depends on what items are you going to place or the amounts.

Depends what kind of lag you mean as well. If you mean slow graphics on older machines then it depends on the blocks used. Lots of glass and bones vs just plain grass. If you mean networking lag, that depends in large part on how many people are in the realm at the same time and what they're doing.
