There are a ton of ways to make cubits, all require you to put some good ole fashioned elbow grease in. My suggestion is farming as it does not require any skill or cubits to get started. Wheat sells easily for 1 to 2 c per wheat and you can harvest over 10k wheat with five fields. That is over 10kc per two week harvest. You just need to get a farm up and going which can be fun depend on how you view it.
Find out what items everyone wants; what items are easy to get and easy to sell? I find that bombs, diamonds, and emeralds can be sold very easily (10c per bomb and 5-10c per diamond/emerald). I buy ingredients to make bombs, make them myself, and then sell the bombs in Pen's Yard Rentals. It's not necessarily a shop, but it does involve buying and selling. I've made several hundred cubits profit in a couple days by buying the resources and selling bombs (or using the bombs to get diamonds in emeralds)

And you forgot Buyers If you don't have Buyers in a few days you gonna sell those rotten crops to Farmer
