We changed it. It'll probably change again at some point.
It may seem that it's an attempt to make forum acct theft harder, and it may do that for a short while, but it is not really expected to be very effective that way. In terms of protecting accounts we're working on some things that are coming, but that forum page had to be brought up to date as it didn't match the website anyway, so now was a good time to do it.
