Ok. New steam beta up. Lots of things being tested. If you want to run it and look for bugs. If you're not a bug hunter and not comfy running beta software just stick to the regular branch.
What was changed that requires testing?
1) fixes for the problem with z position. Specifically launch-rings, note blocks, sometimes farm tractor issues. Basically sometimes it couldn't tell where you were standing correctly. This should in theory be fixed now.
2) New compiler! It doesn't mean anything from a player's point of view, but for us it means we're using something very different underneath to get it all building. This gives us some benefits when developing, but it could potentially introduce bugs.
3) New networking code. Not all of it.. but certain things that the game use to download are now using new code to do it. This could affect things like the cubit store, purchasing cubits, the news etc..
Please contact me if you notice anything seriously wrong with this beta branch before it becomes the main branch to avoid problems.
