A confirmation for account changes?

It's way too easy for someone to change their email/password in-game, which is why I feel like there should be a confirmation sent to the email tied to that account.
I feel like account security would be higher this way.
You won't need to confirm an email such as:
"Password has been changed. Confirm?"
but more or so like:
"Your password has been recently changed. If you didn't make the change, here's a password reset link."
Not sure if this is possible, and I'm not sure if this makes sense, but if it's possible, and does make sense, I'd like to hear different points of view. ^^

I disagree with the IP address thing, because not everyone logs onto CC using the same Internet.
