Cannot download Cubic Castles [HELP]

I have Windows 10 on my pc. I have NEVER had this problem before.

When the Summer Pack update came out and I wanted to update my Cubic Castles app, it kept crashing on me. I uninstalled Cubic Castles and tried to redownload it again. Alas, it couldn't download it for me. I have a screenshot of the error message it was displaying here.

Anyway, I decided to download Cubic Castles through Steam. The app downloaded but when I tried to launch it, an error message saying that Cubic Castles cannot connect with Cubiccastles.com. Then, when I tried to launch the app again, it stayed on a black screen and the only thing I could do was to force shut down my PC. As I said before, this has never happened to me. I do not know what to do and I cannot play Cubic Castles on my PC.

I think something has to do with my anti-virus on my PC, but I do not know for sure. It is called "ESET Smart Security". (I have no idea how to use it...)

I might be wrong, but I dont think your antivirus locked it, it wouldnt without sending you a message about it . Never hapened to me with any file downloaded from steam .

It sent me a message about it once. It said that it was something of a potential danger to my PC and said that it automatically removed it, then it stopped sending me messages, BUT, I do not know if it stopped or not. The error message and the anti-virus message flashed when I tried downloading Cubic Castles from the site. With steam, the app did not launch, kept saying that Cubic Castles cannot etablish a connection with cubiccastles.com, and I was left with a black screen (I could do nothing but force shut down my PC).

Appearently you have to check you AV and allow cc to be installed .Since the last update, There's a few antivirus problems with the game .

The thing is that I have no idea how to do that. My Anti-Virus was installed on my PC by another person, not me.

I kept trying to find people will similar download issues and guides on how to fix my problem... Failing but still searching... How do you think? Will the AV issue with Cubic Castles be fixed?

It said that it recognized the cubic castles setup and the app as a potential danger to my pc.

Not in quarantine then I guess . If the pop-up shows again, try to click on any button that can allow cc to work anyway , like "ignroe the risk" or something like that .

The funny thing is that... it does not give me an option to do that. ;-;

I believe it is. It's called ESET Smart Security, if anything.

After new update cc got every half hour's crashes or less, but then i successfully join the game again.

Alright so after reloading and restarting my app, antivirus, and PC. I have figured it out. My app is now working. Thank you @-Gundam- for the help, and thank you @Daresx11 for the guide it was a big help! :)
