Plant Soil Not getting wet

So i have a problem that i couldn't find anywhere.. I just came back on cc after a long break and noticed my crops didn't die and neither did my pet and the plants were watered. Well, i grabbed the soil by mistake, put it back and tried rewatering it, but it won't work and it won't even take water from my water can. Why and what can i do?

You can't water a soil without seed on it.. If there's a seed and it won't water it, then u r probably lagging
