How do berry drops work

I'm very confused, I heard that the attractor perk affects it but it doesn't affect yumberries, but it does to the rest? But then it alters when I turn it off? Can someone tell me how much berries can drop with and without attractor? Thanks

Attractor does not influence the amount of berries dropped (they're just stacked instead of being a mess).
Btw, attractor doesn't work for other items such as clanstones or pets for instance.

It does influence it. If you have attractor on the harvester perk will not work, if you have attractor off the harvester perk will work.
