We have enough Moderators for now -1
  • I think the main thing we need is forum Moderators. We only have space_fetus now.

    I'm still here :)
  • Whim still has her mod role on the forums, she's been the one closing irrelevant and answered discussions.

    There is always room :)
In comparison to when we had around 15 mods, now is very different.
Ed is also back too, which is nice.

Space does that too. It's not just me here on the forums.

    Of course.
  • Ah, I forgot you still had your role. Still nice to see even after you resigned you're still here to help.

But since the discussion is about in game mods, I do agree we need some mods from other parts of the country. Yes, picking mods is a hard thing to do, so I guess we have to give it time and see what the Developers have in store, if they are picking new mods, or not.
  • actually i +1 this, as theres usually no active mods on asian time. Probably no need for mods from US and Europe as the timezone is already covered well. Theres so much non stop holla spamming and holla drama when im online >.>

Here's the thing, we cannot be on 24/7. It's not a paid job and we all have real life responsibilities. I was about as active as anyone can be in the game up until about a month ago. I basically turned it into a full time job for over a year and burned myself out. I was online for hours every day dealing with player issues and reports. You can't say "they're not too active" because you don't know how active the current mods are.
  • -1 not really I see a lot of mods being as active as they can it’s really stressful being a mod not to mention it s not even a paid job. They’re normal players and people they have other responsibilities.
  • The mods in this game are some of the most wonderful there are. It would be nice, however, if more mods were available to relieve some of the workload of current mods, and to be online at different times, I guess.
  • Bump
  • I've seen this a lot of times, so here is my answer:

This may sound a little negative, but scams only happen because people are not careful enough and end up losing their items out of carelessness. It's not the moderator's fault if there is a victim that gets scammed, it is in fact, the victim.

That's true. It's not a paid job, so maybe we can't have a lot. But the mods we have work a lot and very well, in my opinion.
  • I think the admins are taking their time picking out people they would think are good and trustworthy - it's not something that can be rushed.

Of course. It is a slow process.

You do realise that mods mute people for swearing and bullying. Mods also help people during scams.

Technically it IS most of of the time the victim's fault for TRUSTING a scammer and RUSHING to buy a certain item. The verifications are put there for a reason, they just chose not to read them out of greed.

Also, as Whim explained on discord, they also might be there, you just don't see them since they're cloaked or using a different name.

What I would agree on is mods on different timezones, an easier way to verify scams in action (like the time, owner, easier way to take a picture, video) before the scammer bans everyone.

Even if there were 20 active mods in the game, they would still do the same things as the current mods, that would not change. They would still be muting people and asking for proof for reports, they still would still temp ban people when given proof and they would still be unable to replace your items or cubits when you lose them to a scammer. We have good mods and they are active. What we don't have in game are magical beings that can be everywhere at every minute to follow you around to make sure you don't make poor choices that end with you being scammed and then magically spawn new items on the spot to fix everything instantly.
I'm sure the admins will add to the mod staff when they feel it is time. Play safe, think before you act and read before you say yes on a confirmation screen. Remember that mods are not super heroes so please don't expect them to be able to do more than they are given the ability to do.
