Some problems with steam version and antivirus

Okay so since a short time i have some problems with the steam version and antivirus

-steam thinks its a dangerous thing so it rejects opening (fixed this sorta)

-steam links the files wrongly what makes it impossible to use cc without going to steam library and then press play now there

-my antivirus (avast) thinks cc is a dangerous file so without turning avast ALL THE WAY out (so not time out, turning it in as fault positive (those doesnt work and for some reason he shuts on and blocks cc)) i cant play cc anymore, he blocks cubiccastles.exe btw, shall make a screenshot when i have the time of it to show it

I guess this is already known to you guys but to be sure i post this so that it surely is known

Yeah super annoying. I'm sure it whatever they are using to create/compile the .exes.
I remember cosmic or kewb saying this in the past.

Just add it to your exclusions. I just add the whole folder.
So when new exe get installed it remains excluded.
Goto menu / settings / General / Scroll down to exclusions / browse
find where you have cc. Mine is on my G:/drive. Most will be on the C:/ tho.

We'll post a new version later today. Let us know if the false positives go away.

Tried that, dunno if i did something wrong but it keeps annoying me
  • I whitelisted the whole steam library and that worked for me. Although, this means if other games have viruses...
  • Maybe delete your antivirus and download a new one.

Some paid for their antivirus softwares.
You cant just tell them to buy another one while they already have paid for the actual one

It is not that you did something wrong, that doesn't work.
