  I believe you are refering to the categories of this forum.
  Go to the home page of the forum or click on "All categories" in the left menu.
  There you will see all categories including the ones you have hidden.
  You find the gear icon on the right of the category tittle.
  Click it and you get the either the words hide or unhide(depending if it's hidden or not).
  
  If you don't find these things you might want to switch over to the full site version of the forum.
  You can do this by going to the bottom of the main page and click the link down there(in the middle of the bottom line).
