Being Rich is not Pro.

It's the title. Having material things is not being a professional person. It's just classified as "rich"
Yes, you see veterans with a lot of rares/super rares/clothing. But that's a secondary thing that they do, which is business! Being "Rich" is not the pure goal of the game. This is not a business simulator. It was meant to be a sandbox, where you are able to build beautiful things and mine! So what is the pure goal of this game?

Being a "Pro" is simply not obtaining the all of the rares in the game. The community is blinded by money. Clothing is just for customisation of your character to make it unique. The pure message of this game is a virtual community you get to connect with. "But Pyr, I see a lot of high levels having huge rares!" Yeah I see them too. But is it what they're focusing on? No. They focus on having fun and socialising with people. This is what the early players are mistaken, being rich.

Yes being rich is fun. Yes you got all the items. Yes you got a lot of cubits, what are you going to do with them now? What are you going to do next with your life since you've got all these cool items? Always look on what happens next. There's nothing more to do but either build, or just have pure fun with your friends. Material things are nothing when you have friends. Remember that.

These materials our talented developers create blind players and focus on cubits, it's not the developer's fault. It's your fault. Cubits are not everything.

I agree. Being rich and having lots of rares doesn't make you a pro. Experience and knowledge of the game does. I can be level 0, have millions of cubits and lost of rares but have 0 knowledge of the game.
Cubits and items don't make you a pro.

Status and the labels that go along with them are of no value to me. I feel that there is one universal truth that can be seen across the board to what makes people happy and that is friendship <3. I see players from all different age groups, countries, and ideals blending together sharing laughter and making memories. That is what CC is about at the end of the day. I think I would of quit CC many moons ago if it was not for all the wonderful people that I have met. If I need a laugh or to feel good I know it is a click away, I feel accepted and at home. My face is often frozen in a painful smile when I am having exchanges with those who appreciate me and are willing to embark on my often questionable in content conversations. That feeling, those moments, no dollar amount can buy.
  • yeah... i have meet some bad people lv 50 up think his/her pro...... whe i ask something they ignore me and some of them banned me..

I dont see the point of that thread...

Having driving licence is not hating to walk
Being in a bed is not being tired
    Eating is not being hungry
    Swimming is not loving water.

So i agree as 100% should do: beeing rich is not being pro... What the next?

I'm not saying I hate being rich, I mean yeah it can be a hobby to collect rares but the point is people don't have fun in the game because they try hard too much to do it. Yes Eating is not being Hungry, but in the view of those other players they don't take it as a hobby they take it as the goal of the game. I'm sorry but I think you've read the thread too fast and without understanding.

This is not a business simulator.

Actually, I solely play this now as exactly that, a business simulator. I am quite into shop keep games like the game 'shoppe keep' but I prefer this even more as the customers are real people rather than NPC's and with my earnings I can buy nice things.

Whether the admin intended for the game to go this way or not (I don't see how they couldn't of seen) if you start adding 80% (guesstimated percentage) of the new content as rare collectibles or vanity items then that is exactly what the game will become. I haven't counted (nor will I) but I am sure their are more wearable in this game than there are blocks, which to me would make the game intended to be a collectible wardrobe simulator.

What I am saying is, a game is what you make of it, you can play as I do or try to get rich, collect all items or build a giant mushroom made from booger blocks then that is up to you, but don't start judging peoples choices and start slapping them with labels like "pro/noob" or "rich/poor" Instead, if people spent more energy on having fun, the community would be a little bit better off!
  • I agree with you 100%. I am a level 48 and have never been rich in this game. I want to have cubits for giveaways and such, but I never can make it. But, when I do buy clothing items, I try to buy them cheap and people make fun of me for being a 'pro' who doesn't have any cubits. It doesn't make me feel sad about my poor qbee self, but it gets me annoyed that people would make fun of somebody for something as little as not being rich.

Ha ha! I pick that one !
Sadely, all is said in one sentence^^

  • Uhh. I totally disagree with this, no offense. Why can't people see being rich as 'pro'? It's THEIR view, NOT YOURS. Sure, some people might see building as 'pro', and some people may see having many friends as 'pro'. Again, THEY are allowed to see the game how THEY want to, and you can not tell them how to view it. They're probably not going to care at all if you go tell them. "You're not a pro. Go build." Because every single player in Cubic Castles is a REAL PERSON, who can think, and breathe, and walk for themselves. NOT NPCs that you can control to do what you like to do.

Because sometimes when people see rich as 'pro' they can be pretty harsh about it and expect people to be rich or give them cubits. The other day someone asked me for 2k cubits and I told them I only had 800c. Things like that can rub them them the wrong way. And it's actually annoying for people to expect that from you, and that's just what I'm stating. And I agree with everyone being their own person but we are only giving our own opinion of how we view this 'problem'.

This is just my opinion, I'm not trying to start a riot.

I think people need to be more understanding of what "pro" means. Rich people can be pros, knowledgeable people can be pros, nice people can be pros. It depends on OTHERS' OPINIONS of them. "Pro" is not a rank to brag about or hold over other people's heads. If someone thinks you are a pro, then to them, you are a pro. But you cannot walk around saying "I'm pro" and demand respect, especially if you will not reciprocate it.

IF you sell a whole lot of items in-game and become rich from it, that's pretty pro imo

    absolutely true.
There are people that think I am pro because i have lots of stuff and some decently expensive gear, but I am actually quite bad at buying and selling stuff.
    and that's nice.

All though it's not being pro that makes the game great, it's the friends you make in the game that make the game great.

  • Pro, let's take it to a longer word.

    Proffessional.

    Let's make it shorter.

    Profession.

I agree by the fact that you can become professional by the point where you have expertise in one profession e.g. building, money, social life, knowledge.

@90 , Hi there :) , its nice to see you in forum and sad to see him/her acting like that. Currently there is an on going egg hunt so people can be a bit ignoring others due to their focusing on eggs... From my personal experience sadly a lot of players ignore players lower then lvl 15 /New players... (I don't know your lvl so if you aren't sorry ^_^).

At a lvl below 15 it can be hard to communicate with someone at lvl +50 since they are either too busy or just "playing hard to get" as friends. It maybe easier to get a 30 lvl friend and ask him to introduce you to others so you also may get an idea about those people... (and know them they are trustworthy)

If you need help or wanna have a +50 lvl player as a friend you may try to be friend with @Athena Shy 's clan members (Clan Name: Helping Hands) or @LucieWinterwolf 's Helpful Pirate Society [HPS} or you may try MGN's clan and ask @=MGN=RedEagle or join their discord server to see around and have some friends...

    http://mgnclan.com/discord

If you need any help about forum rules you may also use this link:

    http://forums2.cubiccastles.com/index.php?p=/discussion/8/forum-rules#latest

As Pyreon and I said some people think that lvl and richness make them pro and most of them sadly "money based salers" so they may try to sell you over expensive items or ignore you if you are poor... Not all but most sadly... If you visit Helping Hand's realm you may also get some basic crafting items if you are new to game :)

If you are somewhere above 10 lvl and also trusthworth player I may also add you to my friendlist and show you some parkour tricks when I have time or may help you to find some more friendly people :)

And also those type of rich high lvl guys are generally unfair traders or scam hunters or scammers with their own drama and "mental issues". You don't wanna be part of that society so you don't miss anything by not joining those rude drama makers who eventually use your friendship and trust to bad or steal your designs/items... They will also find you when you reach high lvls, when you get tallented and knowladgable...

Incase you are new please try to not get scammed, or trust all people, there are many good and bad people in community and not all are helpful, some are abusive. Care who you be friend with and ry to learn about how people may trick you before actually starting to trade...

If you aren't new you may still find some friendly people in those clans... :)
nah they are not busy with egg hunt... cause i never see them on leader board... they was talking with friend .. and a noob like me she/he ignore... like Anie or idk what his/her name..

I don't collect/buy every robot I come across to have a status. I buy them because they simply make me happy. I have 437 robots as of right now and I know at least 90% of people do not know that I own that many. I like how some players like @space_fetus builds and hosts games and whatnot. BUT building and hosting games is what he likes doing. Same with how I like collecting certain stuff. Nobody is a pro and nobody is a noob. We are all equals. We all start off in the same place in life and in-game. Some of us are just more fortunate than others. :P
