what is a null hat!?

I hadn't started cc when 'null hats' were around. So i was wondering what are they? And if someone has a pic of one please post. Or say where to find a pic of one ;-;

It's a multihat bug item. I forgot who had it, but here's what it did:
Whenever you take a step, the hat changes. It can become any hat in the game files. By game files I mean the hat might now be released to the public, but the hat can be used to leak items. They patched it a long time ago.
