Imagine some event with 100 cars in realm. When there are 100 players with all their pets in one simple race there is lag everywhere. Now imagine you put 100 more items with their own animations, there will be so much lag that they will need to invent new word for lag. :D

The racing things wouldn't need to be animated. They could simply be blocks or "Lamp-like" items. And the karts could be put the same way pets are there. Except that bumping would cause collision, like when a qbee pushes towards a block, or someone uses a wand. And it would speed up the qbee. Like the speed demon perk, but faster. Pets don't cause lag.

They do, thats why some people put pet killers in their realms to avoid it. But it is silly to say that 1-2 pets can cause so much lag.
