Banned players' siblings

This problem came up to me. If a player gets banned and their real life brother (or sister) isn't involved in the bad things, they will also get banned since they both share the same IP. Is there a way to avoid that issue?

Everyone who shares same IP address as person who got banned will also be banned.

It would be bad if someone who didn't deserve ban was punished, but I don't think that there are lot of cases like that. More common is that abusers will just make alt account and continue to bully others.
System may not be perfect but it is the best we have right now.
How would you resolve that issue?

It's a matter of which evil. Ban IP or account? It's not always black and white

Best way to avoid the situation, is to make sure the household follows the game rules, and if it comes down to it, contact support and see what can be worked out or ride out the ban.
