Sonar sound - Revelation Cap

What does sonar sound means when you wear Revelation cap? It even pings in overworld, lobby sometimes everywhere.

    I feel like (and this is just a guess) that the sound rings when there are no plasms in an area, like a Lobby or Overworld. But this is just a guess, i could do some experiments over it

    I think its wrong guess. I think I just saw 3 or 4 plasm while pinging was constant.

    That sound is a radar sound, so i guess that it is searching to something

    Also when no ghost is nearby it will ping like that, if a ghost is in the realm it will not ping

    Tested this and this theory also failed. Idk for realm but it pinged when i was on top of plasm :D
    I also noticed that it ping when other ppl wear Revelation Cap and you are near them.
