Messed up movement controls for mobile

I use an iPad mini, and the controls are all kinds of messed up when trying to reposition the camera angle. The running motion will get stuck and I’ll be running in a straight line without touching the controls. The direction movement button on the left occasionally gets screwing and when I tap it I jump. Makes navigating my realms a hassle.
Edit: in addition I can barely double jump and can’t move to the sides while doing so.
