How many artifacts can be found in a mine?

I had always assumed you'd find just one artifact per mine, but I was in a mine and came across two artifacts in the same mine...so that raises some questions for me...

1) What is the max number of artifacts in a mine?
2) Is there always at least one artifact per mine?
3) When your pet gives you the artifact indicator, and you find the artifact and mine it, does the pet still alert on the already found artifact (or are there more to find in that location)?

1. The most I've seen is 2 in a mine
2. Don't know HAHA
3. As per my experience, after mining the artifact my pet still has that alarm even when the artifact isn't there anymore; but when i move away and move back, the alarm stops

Just a question... why do artifacts generate in the middle of a big body of water in tropical mines? It makes no sense but it's an easy way to find them.

Yeah I vote desert. Who's all in? We can clear it in like 3-6 hours with like 5-8 ppl if we all work hard. If I were to record a timelapse of it, would it be better to record it for 5-6 hours and speed it up by x20 or take 1 screenshot every minute and have 360 screenshots?
