idea to stop necro-posting?

Some people accidently comment on old discussions, and its not a crime, but because of that moderators have to close the discussion.
I went to another forum today and here is how it worked:
After 30 days, the discussion will auto-close.

But what if the owner of the discussion wants to bump it?
only the owner of the discussion can comment if its closed that way

I dont know if this will be useful, but I wanted to share my thoughts :)

I don't see the point in closing a discussion 30 days old to be fair - because someone will likely bring up the same topic later anyway...
