Can't start the game after re-installing Windows

This morning, due to a random error in my PC, I was forced to re-install Windows. The machine saved the old OS in a file called Windows.old
All of my steam games, including CC, are intact (Only the registry were lost). I found the old CC Appdata files in Windows.old and copied it to the new Appdata. However, the game crashed on startup. I did try to remove all CC files and re-install the game, but it didn't work. It seems that some, but not all, have the same issue as CC.
Any solutions?
