The ability to decline friendships

On the forum when you gain the ability to send friend requests there doesn't seem to be a way to cancel or decline them as the person who got sent the friend request. I was wondering if this could be changed so you can choose to cancel the friend request on their profile.
(I'm aware you can just accept and goto their profile to cancel it. But I'm just wondering if this could be changed)
