Work in progress a bit... We actually had this done a long time ago but were so busy we never put it up. There's still things to tweak but yeah it looks nicer. A little friendlier on mobile as well. Though I did like some elements of Kewbins redesigns as well.
Cone of shame, @hat , all those (unused) items, null hat, golden, murky, frosty, slimey dehidrated cubes, all those admin-only blocks, stamps for the doors in the lobby, search bumper.
Perhaps you need to rephrase it to "I have collected available"
Hmm, I can't really teach art since there's no exact way to do it. Everyone draws different things and in different styles :) I'm no expert, but the best I can do is give tips:
- use references!
- before you color, imagine where the light source for your character will be, then do shadows and highlights from there
- start simple, then slowly draw details
- recommended: draw a few qbees just for proportion practicing
But the best advice I can give is to just keep drawing! The more you do it, the more you learn- there's no limit to how much you can improve. Look back at your drawings and work on points you want to fix or didn't satisfy your expectations. Speaking of expectations, don't expect too much and give yourself and your art respect :)
Sorry, this got a bit long but yea. I'm kind of out of touch with drawing Qbees now too, just slowly sinking back into it.
Hope this helps!
Indeed you're good at drawing :)
As for the Samurai, I just had different layers for each part of the qbee and did soft colouring, and ofc as mentioned above, before I begin to color I imagine a light source for the Qbee. An example would be the one i did for Hyperion. (on my commission thread). The sunset behind him is the light source and so most of his Qbee is shadowed :)
I too am still practicing lineless art!
A person that was sent to mars with some others and then they got stuck there and everyone else died but he was still alive and the thing back down on earth thought everyone was dead and left them there and he had to find a way to come down on earth.
