Maybe add a pet fox? A pet fox could be popular, as it is cute but also a very popular creature. Foxes also live in many different habitats, which can be used in different seasons. For example, an arctic fox during yuletide events, a red fox during autumn, Corsac foxes during summer, etc... Foxes, similar to many other animals, live in various regions, so it the game could have a tiny bit more of a globally welcoming game.
If we aren't adding all these variations, then even a regular foxes are fine since they are awfully cute <3
