Phone Screen Frozen

I was about to play cubic castles on my phone (IOS) when I got frozen on fetching realm information. I couldnt exit out of the app, couldn't turn my phone off, couldn't reset the phone, nothing. It was frozen for over an hour until I eventually just took the back off the phone, took the battery out, and put it back in. This has never happened before.

That sounds like one bad syntax error. Delete CC and join a Minecraft server till the next update hits.
