Adventure Mode - STUCK! BUG? HELP!

So, I'm not entirely sure what I'm supposed to do but I'm in the slime realm and I went all the way through, collected the machine, and made it all the way back the the start but I can't get up to the door to exit the slime world. everytime I did it respawns me at a different door which is linked to a 3rd door just adjacent from the main entrance/exit door. however the gap is too far to jump and there isn't any other way (that I can see) of getting to the exit door. PLEASE HELP!
