Too many failed login attempts? I wasn't logging in!

So my friend came over to my house and I was trying to make him a Cubic Castles account.
We kept trying out possible usernames but they were all taken until, it locked us out for an hour?

We weren't trying to 'login', we were just trying out different usernames. Is there a fix?

    i dont think there is a possible fix as if it was a used username it would lock you out as if ur trying to log in to a account

    Just wait an hour.
    For future reference, it is easier to try to friend desirable names, if the name is free, you will not be able to send the said username a request.
