Paypal purchases on windows standalone version.

So since the update when i run Cubic Castles winows stanalone version it shows my steam account as playing it.
Even though I'm running standalone version.
When I go to buy cubits it brings up the steam purchase method.
I have tried exiting steam. When i click buy cubits with steam closed it doesn't send me anywhere.

Is it still possible to buy cubits on standalone version via paypal or is steam our only method now?
Also will standalone always show me playing via steam?
I kinda liked playing standalone version without it telling steam I'm playing cc.

    Same here, and I really don't like buying cubits through my steam wallet since I never like to keep that much money in my steam wallet. Hopefully this can be fixed?!
