Its a nice idea. But i prefer they worked on something else tbh. I worked in sales for a decade. I don't like bells. Its promotes a lazy form of hospitality. If you are running a shop then you should be focused on the customers present. If your shop is closed. Then lock the room or use the open/closed signs.
This isn't a job - its a game. Nobody wants to play a GAME stuck behind a shop counter all the time! We have real work for that >.>
Are you selling goods? With a till/counter? Do you serve customers? Then its a shop and hospitality is part of package. I know where i won't be buying my items :P
I guess you won't be getting the stuff you're looking for at lower prices than the shop because you're too busy being fussy about service... If you want something you either tolerate the keeper's lack of manners or you move on and miss out; I suppose it depends on how much time you're willing to put in trawling the thousands of shops for exactly what you want at a fair price. Personally I feel there's more to this game than shopping and I don't have the time for that, not sure how anyone else does. Not being in the shop but being summoned is fair, because as previously said this is a game therefore you should expect to have fun... Which should include people who own a shop. People are already leaving rent blocks with the rent bumper with items on the top to sell stuff so they can mine/build/parkour without being bored stupid and people can buy what they want. However others are ruining it by using it to scam people which is why I'd recommend this over rent bumpers/blocks and still means you get to socialise with customers.
Well said. Keep in mind, that with a store bell, it still contains that social aspect within the store while giving the store owner a chance to enjoy the game for what it offers besides spending hours stuck behind a cash register.
