Full grown crops not yet finished growing yet....

I got a harvest full of wheat that I’ve been putting off harvesting for a couple days now even after they were fully grown...been bout a week since I planted them. They’re at the final stage of growing but apparently not since I can’t harvest them. Or is this just another April fools prank?
