Why has the farming level perks order been changed? Why do crops lose their water after 12 hours?

Im a bit confused on this as well, Id heard they just look dry even they wont wither for 24hrs without water, but then a day on the farm is 20hrs so perhaps they wither if they go 20hrs without water?
Maybe this is why some folks think plants wither sooner then they should....
Personally every time mine look dry i water them because im afraid of them withering since i dont really have an answer either, just more questions that go along with your question

Thanks for commenting. It turns out they lose the watering every 10hrs, since a day is 20hrs. Also, they wither after 24hrs, not 20, which can be confusing
