Where do the items go that disappear?

Okay thank you, I was just wondering if they went into some collection bin.

Dropping items works the same way, as if you get rid of items by using the trash can :P it just removes it from the system completely. That's why we always tell to be careful when an item is dropped, there's no way to get it back in this case.

When I drop an item and go offline for a super long time, I log back in to see the item on the ground still, even though it says that it will disappear after 20 mins XD
